Georgie’s first solo exhibition ‘The Woods are Lovely, Dark and Deep’ was held at Cave gallery in Pimlico, 17th – 20th March 2022. It was curated by Celia Higson.
The Woods are Lovely, Dark and Deep’ is a collection of works that celebrates the enchanting quality of trees. Taking inspiration from the final verse of Robert Frost’s poem ‘Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening’ Georgie’s works capture the essence of Frost’s forest. A forest which is at once both vast and unknown, filled with solitude and silence, but also one that is familiar and comforting – a visual representation of our long, winding journeys through life.
